Summation Tutorial

Example:

$$\text{Summation}\;\sum(x)=\;\sum_{i=1}^n X_i\;=$$

$$X_1+X_2+X_3+…+X_n$$

We have 4 values:

• X_₁=15
• X_₂=25
• X_₃=35
• X_₄=45

BY using the above equation, we can calculate the summation notation.

$$\text{Summation}\;\sum(x)=\;\sum_{i=1}^n X_i\;=$$

$$15+25+35+45=130$$
